The Kansas Airspace Awareness Tool, developed for the Kansas Department of Transportation's Division of Aviation, earned an Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies during its 2012 Engineering Excellence Awards competition. The software was developed by Burns and McDonnell, an engineering firm, and was funded by an FAA grant.

Burns & McDonnell opened an office in the Robinson Renaissance building in downtown Oklahoma City several weeks ago. Recent work includes major tenant build-out of some 130,000 square feet of office space for Enogex in Leadership Square. The firm celebrated with a ribbon-cutting this morning.
