Delmar Boulevard Streetscape Enhancement

Delmar and Seventh Streets are two streets key to the revitalization of their respective areas. Due to the presence of new construction sites within the project limits, the Burns & McDonnell team worked with the city to make sure construction did not interfere with these projects or the ability of neighborhood residents and visitors to access businesses and stadiums in the community. The Burns & McDonnell team worked with utilities to ensure that businesses were accommodated, as well.

The project included historic pedestrian lighting and the installation of trees with grates along the sidewalks. A Burns & McDonnell landscape architect assisted in the selection of trees that are aesthetically pleasing and function as traffic-calming accents. Many areas also called for new concrete sidewalk, drainage inlets and piping alterations.
