Elevated 1 Million Gallon Water Storage Tanks

Burns & McDonnell is designing two 1 million gallon elevated water storage tanks and connecting 24-inch water mains to increase system storage capacity from 3 million gallons to 5 million gallons. Additional water mains are being designed along with the storage tanks to increase firm capacity and provide more rapid flow rates for the system, which pumps an average daily flow of 4.2 million gallons.

The elevated water storage tanks will be at two separate locations in O’Fallon, Ill. Complete design phase and bid phase services will be provided. In addition, Burns & McDonnell will provide design support during the construction of the elevated storage tanks. Construction expected to begin fall 2007.
