On-Call Environmental Services

Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink) hired Burns & McDonnell to provide on-call environmental services throughout its right-of-way. Burns & McDonnell is responsible for more than 500 miles of track that crosses the Southern California counties of San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.

 

Tasks as on-call environmental consultant include:

  • Emergency response for environmental hazards
  • Environmental site assessments
  • Phase I and phase II soil and groundwater investigations
  • NPDES monitoring and compliance reports including stormwater pollution prevention plans; stormwater monitoring plans; and spill prevention,
  • control and countermeasure plans
  • Remediation and disposal of hazardous waste
  • Confined space training and certification
  • Other environmental services on an as-needed basis
  • Site investigation
  • Biowaste and hazardous materials cleanup
  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance
