Utility Privatization Study

Burns & McDonnell conducted a large utility privatization study for the U.S. Navy. The purpose of the study was to determine and document general utility system condition, system replacement cost, depreciated value, upgrade cost requirements and equipment needs for the purpose of privatizing the government assets. Work included site inspections, employee interviews, map and document reviews, electrical equipment inventory and a condition assessment. Reports included site condition assessment, equipment inventory, operating performance, maintenance program, system reliability, capacities, noted deficiencies and code violations, safety violations, recommended improvements and a list of documents/electrical maps reviewed.
