Utility System Master Plan
Location: Portland, Ore.
Client: Portland International Airport
Burns & McDonnell designed the central plant, utility distribution system, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems and airfield lighting for an expansion.
Recently, we developed a utility system master plan for the mechanical and electrical systems at the airport, including airfield lighting and building automation systems. The study included an analysis and most feasible means to upgrade and expand the steam utility distribution system. The recommended distribution method was via concrete trenches and tunnels.
