Burns & McDonnell managed the wetland permitting and cultural resources studies at the Waverly Wind Farm Project in Coffey County, Kan. Burns & McDonnell prepared a wetland delineation report and cultural resources report upon completion of the field studies and coordinated correspondence with state and federal agencies.
The proposed 100.8-megawatt wind farm project will consist of approximately 62 wind turbines on approximately 14,500 acres. Also included are 20 miles of private access roads, 20 miles of public access roads, 35 miles of underground and/or overhead electric collection systems, one laydown yard, one operations and maintenance building site, and one substation.
Corridors based on the preliminary project facility locations were surveyed for potential wetlands and cultural resources sites. Burns & McDonnell prepared a wetland delineation report and cultural resources report upon completion of the field studies and is coordinating with state and federal agencies.
Burns & McDonnell is also providing support for the preparation of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
