A career fair gives students opportunities to network with recruiters and alumni to learn more about Burns & McDonnell and our current openings. Topics that might be discussed include classes taken, campus involvement and internship experience. Resumes are not accepted during a career fair.

What can I expect at a campus interview?
Campus interviews match candidates one-on-one with a Burns & McDonnell interviewer. They last about 30 minutes and start with general questions about the candidate's qualifications.

What happens at an on-site interview?

Candidates make a presentation for a group of Burns & McDonnell managers, take a tour of the building and have the opportunity to learn more about the company.

What technical disciplines do you hire?
Burns & McDonnell seeks a broad range of education and experience. See our complete list of majors and disciplines.

When should I apply for an internship?
Our intern candidate search typically begins during the fall semester, usually in October and November. Our internships are usually filled by early spring. To be considered for our internship program, please apply online.

How do I apply for a job?
All applicants for positions in all Burns & McDonnell offices must start by filling out our online application.

Does an internship mean I'll have a job after graduation?
Burns & McDonnell considers internships to be a three-month interview, where we have the opportunity to evaluate your skills, knowledge and fit with our culture. While we hire interns with the expectation of potentially hiring them for a full-time position after graduation, being selected for an internship is not a guarantee of employment after college. Interns must demonstrate the ability to work on our projects, build relationships within the company and perform up to expectations.
