Burns & McDonnell's master plan for the city of Branson, Mo., included the new 3 million gallon per day (MGD) Cooper Creek advanced wastewater treatment plant. This project included major interceptor sewers to collect flows from watershed south and west of the city, and convey wastewater to the new plant.
The plant includes raw wastewater pumping, headworks with bar screens and grit and scum removal, activated sludge treatment, nitrogen and phosphorus removal, polishing filters, and ultraviolet disinfection.
Burns & McDonnell also developed a financing plan to support the new facilities.
