Burns & McDonnell is serving as an owner’s representative during the design and construction of the New Doha International Airport (NDIA).
This airport will be capable of serving 24 million passengers and 750,000 tons of air cargo annually when it is estimated to open in 2011.
Burns & McDonnell is reviewing the preliminary design and the design-build packages prepared by various contractors. Burns & McDonnell is making comments to the design to insure the owner’s, tenant’s and airport system operator’s interests are met.
Burns & McDonnell is also providing field inspection of construction at the site. Typical tasks include inspection of concrete foundations, installation of utility lines and steel pipe welds.
