Burns & McDonnell provided investigation and remedial services for the PS Trading Tank Farm at the San Francisco International Airport. The investigation phase included installing groundwater wells and collection of soil and groundwater samples.
Burns & McDonnell conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring at this site for several years. Burns & McDonnell conducted environmental oversight and remediation during the closure of the aboveground storage tanks (ASTs).
In 2004, Burns & McDonnell prepared a Remedial Action Plan for Permit Action No. 439. Burns & McDonnell subsequently performed two injections of calcium peroxide for in-situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. As part of the remedial evaluation, groundwater monitoring was conducted and natural attenuation parameters were sampled. In addition, confirmation soil sampling was also conducted.
