Chat with Rich for a few minutes, and you’ll hear him reference “having fun” about a dozen times. Assembling the best project team? Fun. Working hard with your colleagues by your side? Fun. Opening an office in India, even though you’d never previously visited? You guessed it — fun. He spends his days halfway around the globe, building the Burns & Mac culture in a new country with passion and enthusiasm. The India office is thriving, doing great work and enjoying the process.
I’m a big fan of saying yes. Of course, it’s much easier to do so when you have your friends at your back empowering you, supporting you even if you fail. I’ve always had that here.
Rich sees engineering everywhere he looks in India — especially on the streets. He often passes rickshaws piled with goods and marvels at the load-balancing required.
