The firm opens a new Dallas office and continues growing, following the opening of a new Fort Worth office six months ago.
DALLAS — Burns & McDonnell continues to expand its engineering and construction presence in North Texas. Burns & McDonnell employee-owners moved from the firm's Irving, Texas, office into a newly renovated space on the seventh floor of the Tollway Plaza II at 15950 N. Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248. The opening of Burns & McDonnell's new Dallas office follows its lease of more than 12,000 square feet of office space in Fort Worth, which opened in October 2010.
"We're defying economic gravity by growing in the current economic climate," says Leslie Duke, PE, associate vice president and general manager of the Dallas and Fort Worth offices of Burns & McDonnell. "As a 100 percent employee-owned engineering and construction firm, our professionals deliver the responsive service that our clients expect. It keeps our clients coming back and helps us grow. We're simply designed for client success."
Because of the firm's long-term commitment to serve North Texas, Burns & McDonnell signed a five-year lease for 8,749 square feet of class A office space in Tollway Plaza II in Dallas. The firm has been renovating this space to office up to 32 people, with options for further anticipated expansion. To find its new office space in Dallas, Burns & McDonnell worked with commercial real estate broker Bill McClung of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas.
In North Texas, Burns & McDonnell currently has 56 employee-owners in three offices — the new office in Dallas, an office in Fort Worth, and since 2003 a project office on site at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. in Fort Worth. In the past year, the number of employee-owners in Dallas and Fort Worth offices of Burns & McDonnell has more than doubled, as these offices expand the firm's Texas operations to better serve North Texas clientele.
The Dallas office of Burns & McDonnell focuses on transportation infrastructure; drinking water, stormwater and wastewater; environmental studies and permitting; aviation and facilities; and design-build construction. The Fort Worth office of Burns & McDonnell is home to the nationwide headquarters of the newly formed Burns & McDonnell OnSite Energy & Power Group, which builds on decades of diversified experience in energy and power projects.
