Michael S. DeBacker, transportation director and Burns & McDonnell principal, was recently elected as a director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri 2013-2014 Board of Directors.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Kansas City area firm principals recently elected to the American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri (ACEC/MO) Board for 2013-2014 include: serving his 1st year of a three year term as Director is Chris L. Burns, PE, Senior Vice President, of Alfred Benesch & Company; serving his 1st year of a three year term as Director is Frank L. Weatherford, PE, Principal, of TranSystems Corporation; serving his 2nd year of a two year term as Director is Michael S. DeBacker, PE, Principal, of Burns & McDonnell; and serving her 2nd year of a three year term as Director is Cheri J. Leigh, PE, Principal of Leigh & O'Kane, LLC.
The Council's main goal is the economic "bottom-line" welfare of all engineering companies. Specific goals the ACEC/MO 2013-2014 Board have set for the coming year include: 1) help member firms survive the economic downturn; 2) enhance our image to the public and support legislative business issues of interest; and 3) continue enhancement of ACEC/MO liaison committees with key client groups.
ACEC/MO, headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri is a state association of over 100 of Missouri's leading engineering companies, representing over 4,600 employees, and who annually design some $14 billion in constructed public work and prive industry projects.
