DALLAS — Scott Clark has been named general manager for Burns & McDonnell in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, a growing market for the engineering, architecture and construction services firm. He continues to serve as principal for the company's national OnSite Energy & Power practice.
Clark leads more than 120 professionals specializing in surface transportation, central utility plants, facilities, environmental services, and electrical transmission and distribution projects. Burns & McDonnell employment in the Dallas-Fort Worth region grew 33 percent in 2013.
Clark succeeds Leslie Duke, a Burns & McDonnell senior vice president who continues to oversee the firm's growing operations in Houston.
"Scott is the perfect choice to lead our Dallas-Fort Worth offices," Duke says. "With more than 27 years of experience — including the past four in charge of our OnSite Energy & Power group — Scott knows how to meet clients' needs and deliver programs and projects that make a difference."
Clark joined Burns & McDonnell in 2010 as director of the firm's OnSite Energy & Power group, which specializes in energy planning, design and construction of district energy facilities serving large institutional and industrial energy users. The group recently completed an approximately $70 million central utility plant (CUP) serving the new Parkland Hospital campus in Dallas. In addition to his management role over the Dallas and Fort Worth offices, Clark will continue to lead the OnSite Energy & Power practice of more than 140 specialists nationwide.
Clark received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University.
