The Arbuckle Mountain Wind Farm in Oklahoma is designed to generate 100 MW of wind power via 50 wind turbines. Burns & McDonnell was retained by EDPR to provide wetland delineation and cultural resources services for the project, which would also feature access roads and underground collection lines, substations and meteorological towers. The project is approximately 12 miles north of Ardmore, Okla.
Burns & McDonnell wetland and cultural resources specialists performed background (desktop) studies of the approximately 15,000 acre project boundary. Additionally, an on-site survey for both wetlands and cultural resources was performed for the proposed construction footprint, which made up the 1,365-acre survey area. Burns & McDonnell completed reports summarizing the findings of both the background and on-site surveys.
