- Army Aviation Support Facility - Whiteman AFB
This 13,400-square-foot Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) provides maintenance and operations support for a new battalion of AH-64 attack aircraft. The $29.3 million facility provides 48,500 square feet of high-bay hangar space with clear spans in excess of 150 feet, accommodating eight AH-64 Apache aircraft. Operations and administration areas include pilot offices, flight operations, flight planning, simulation and training, aviation life support, and technical support space. Numerous secured Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) spaces are designed to Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) and Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/9 criteria. Supporting facilities include taxiway, apron, aircraft wash rack, loading dock, fuel truck containment, access drives, and fire pump station and utilities.
