- Chiller Plant and Terminal
Burns & McDonnell created design standards and provided design through the design development phase for the 18,000-ton central plant facility, utility distribution system and terminal building mechanical and electrical systems.
On a life-cycle cost basis, we evaluated alternative central plant heating and cooling systems, distribution systems as well as other utility systems to ensure efficient, reliable utilities for future expansion.
We recommended the most energy efficient systems for incorporation into the final design. This included the evaluation and use of large natural gas engine driven centrifugal chillers. This option was state-of-the-art technology at that time.
