United Airlines needed a system for storage, blending and dispensing of deicing glycol. Our project included four 20,000-gallon underground storage tanks, eight glycol and water blenders and eight dispensing pits. The system is distributed throughout the airport’s Concourse B.
We also provided a separate project to produce a conceptual design for an airline’s centralized, four-pad deicing facility, sized to deice two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft simultaneously. The plan included storage tanks, an operations building and control center, and a distribution system.
