- Equipment O&M Costs Assessment
Our team provided an operations and maintenance (O&M) costs assessment for estimation of continued operation and maintenance of existing simple-cycle units to support the OG&E power supply fleet. The work included a walkthrough of the units and supporting systems. Equipment operating history, maintenance history, inspection records, planned and unplanned work notifications were reviewed. Equipment vendors and equipment maintenance service providers were consulted. Proposed future cash flows were created for expected and recommended recurring O&M tasks, and one-time capital expenses for the planned future operating years. An overall report of the assessment with recommendations was provided.
OG&E desired an estimate for expected recurring O&M and one-time capital expenditures to evaluate plans for two existing 46.5-megawatt (MW) simple-cycle combustion turbine units. We worked with the corporate engineering and plant team members in a walkdown of the equipment and supporting systems. OEM information, operational and maintenance history was discussed with OG&E personnel and reviewed by our team.
The expected future cash flows for continued operation and maintenance of the existing assets were used by the client in evaluating future fleet investment options.
