Burns & McDonnell provided planning, design and construction support services to develop the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Integrated Training Site at Eglin AFB. The training campus provides for maintenance and pilot training for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and program partner countries. The beddown included seven projects totaling $185 million in construction. Campus facilities include an academic training center (LEED Silver), Air Force squadron operations/aircraft maintenance unit (AMU) hangar (LEED Gold), combined Navy/Marine Corps squadron operations/AMU hangar (LEED Gold), and a dormitory and dining facility. Site improvements included a new POL operations facility, upgrades to the hydrant refueling system and JP8 storage tanks, new flightline fill stands, aircraft access aprons, tow-ways, new STOVL landing pads, access roads, utilities and parking lots.
