Summary

The intention of the Qatar Science and Technology Park is to be an internationally recognized hub for technology innovation, research translation, and commercialization. Burns & McDonnell provided comprehensive A/E design and construction support services for the new state-of-the-art, world-class, 144,350-square-foot Advanced Technology and Research Centre (GEATRC) in the park. The facility consists of a high bay to provide hands-on training for the world’s highest thrust jet engines, training labs, training rooms, conference rooms, private and open office space, a 150-student lecture hall with SMART seating, a distance learning lab, cafeteria, interactive learning center, and 135-space parking garage. This facility provides a technically advanced Technology and Learning Center, showcasing the client’s broad technology experience and focusing on the technical training for customers of the client’s businesses in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
