- McClure Gas Plant
Enable Midstream Partners relied on Burns & McDonnell’s gas processing experience to successfully execute the front end engineering, construction and startup of a grassroots 200 MMSCFD gas plant in western Oklahoma. The project was built on a 40-acre site and required coordination with the client’s pipeline group and a substation contractor. Plant features included inlet and residue compression, a cryogenic plant, modular piperacks, offsite shop-fabricated piping, NGL treatment and support systems. The owner provided the gas plant process modules and the inlet/residue compressors. Burns & McDonnell was heavily involved in coordinating engineering and delivery issues.
The McClure project faced enormous challenges that derive from building a greenfield gas plant in a rural area. In this remote location there was no water, power, Internet service or consistently paved roads leading to the site. With looming gas supply commitments, we had a tight schedule to work with as well. Burns & McDonnell met the challenge. Not only was the project completed ahead of schedule and under budget, but Burns & McDonnell accomplished all this with a commitment to detail and quality that can only be described as exemplary. In the field, Burns & McDonnell emphasized safety throughout construction and placed engineers in the field to provide rapid response to any questions that did arise.
