We developed Readiness Center Transformation Master Plans (RCTMPs) for five states as part of a national effort to assess facility condition and estimate the required costs to bring 187 readiness centers up to National Guard Pam 415-12 standards. Work began with an introductory charrette with the adjutant general, chief of staff, Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) and other key staff. This established the foundation for data collection and facility condition assessments. We conducted Level II assessments of RCs more than 10 years old, and Level III assessments of 15 percent of each state’s RCs between 10 years and 30 years old. The information was compiled, organized and evaluated to provide documentation and recommendations to modernize RCs to meet 21st century mission demands.
