- Terminal & Midlevel MEPSS Renovations
Burns & McDonnell is helping the City of St. Louis Board of Public Service attain its goals for Lambert-St. Louis International Airport by designing enhancements to and renovation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and special systems (MEPSS) in the ticketing hall and departure curbs; the midlevel north hall and Concourse C/D passenger security screening checkpoint; and the midlevel baggage claim and passenger arrival hall.
Burns & McDonnell is expanding space in the main terminal for ticketing, queuing, security, baggage claim, restrooms and circulation. We also are upgrading utility systems, fire/life safety systems and communication systems, and upgrading roadway configurations to reduce arrival and departure traffic congestion.
The city, through the St. Louis Airport Authority, embarked on a significant program to improve the passenger experience at Lambert by redefining, renovating and enhancing the main terminal ticketing hall, midlevel systems and concourse facilities. The goal was to re-establish Lambert as a front door to St. Louis and a national gateway with substantial benefits for airline tenants, the region and the traveling public.
