- University Security Master Plan
Burns & McDonnell prepared a security master plan for a Pac-12 university. The project included main campus facilities and hospitals and research arms. Phase 1 included the development of a structured methodology and approach for the diverse organization to use as a program for future security decision-making.
In Phase 2, the developed a one-, two- and five-year security master plan, set minimum security design standards for new construction and established a baseline for operating units within the university’s overall structure to maintain.
This project involved the hosting of planning and working group workshops to foster organizational buy-in, the development of recommendations based on an on-the-ground assessment of current conditions and prioritization of improvements based on risk and available funds.
