Speed to market is critical. Being first on the shelf can be the difference between profit and loss.

We know that because more than 70 percent of our engineering team has worked directly for food, beverage and consumer product companies — owners of leading brands in nearly every market sector. Our people held titles from engineering director to plant manager to supply chain manager. We understand that schedule, uptime and productivity drive your projects.

That same real-world experience means we also know the value of manufacturing excellence. We bring solutions driven by creativity, constructability and efficiency. We look at project challenges through your industry lens, whether your products are foods, beverages, ingredients or other consumer products.

Integrated Project Delivery

From pre-capital consulting and master planning to preliminary engineering through procurement, construction and commissioning, we provide a full range of integrated services. This enables flexibility to successfully meet your process design, packaging, and related engineering and environmental needs.

Seamless integrated project delivery brings all elements of your project together: site selection, permitting, environmental remediation, water supply, wastewater, process design and integration, packaging, utilities, cogeneration, construction, startup and operator training.

We build food plants, and we do it well. But we can and will do more — with less. In food and consumer products processing, we retain what works, revamp what doesn’t, and build success where it matters most: throughout your operation.

Engineering & Design-Build Services

A tight connection between your engineering team and your construction team will deliver the best project results. Your design team follows its work from design through construction, checking that every step meets your project intent. Our construction team evaluates constructability early in the project and throughout project planning and execution.

Our design-build process achieves efficient progress, superior quality and a predictable outcome for your project, with safe, on-time and on-budget performance. We manage safety, cost, schedule and quality with proven procedures and experienced leadership. Safety is paramount, and we implement Construction Industry Institute (CII) best practices. Our points of difference:

  • Front-End Planning: CII’s front-end planning (FEP) practices are integral to our project delivery.
  • Design Engineering: We provide layout integration, equipment selection, detailed design and construction for quality processing facilities.
  • Quality Control: Our quality control (QC) program is based on project team and independent reviews. A series of QC steps guide the project timeline.
  • Procurement: Our team has experience in bid tabulations, equipment purchasing, expediting and equipment delivery tracking.
  • Estimating: Our estimators draw on wide experience and capabilities to develop several levels of estimates using commercially available software and extensive in‐house cost databases. We work with subcontractors when detailed labor and productivity estimates are required.
  • Scheduling: Our in-house schedulers work with the project team to develop detailed schedules via computer-based project scheduling software such as Oracle Primavera and Microsoft Project.
  • Cost Controls: We offer a total project management package of integrated schedule, cost and resource data. Our combined approach to managing these key factors and other performance measures keeps your project on track.
  • Construction: Construction management specialists provide important information during conceptual planning that can affect site layout and accessibility, construction interfaces, and temporary services such as water, power and fire protection. Our construction managers are long‐term professional employees with experience in constructing food facilities. Our design professionals take field assignments to support our construction efforts and develop a greater understanding of construction practicalities.
  • Operating Plants: With extensive industry background, our team knows how to work effectively in operating plants, minimizing downtime and focusing on good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliance and food safety.
  • Competitive Equipment/Subcontractor Bid Packages: We develop clear and concise bid packages and specifications for competitive bid of equipment and construction subcontracts.
