Jeff Allen believes leadership is about service, supporting employee-owners, clients and communities.

That philosophy has guided him throughout his career and continues to shape his leadership approach today.

Drawing on decades of experience delivering complex projects and programs, he is focused on helping teams work together to solve challenges, support clients and deliver critical infrastructure across the western United States. His background leading construction and EPC projects has given him a deep appreciation for integrated teams, thoughtful planning and strong execution.

In the community:

Jeff is committed to supporting the communities where Burns & McDonnell lives and works. He serves on the Governing Board of Casa de Esperanza, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect for at-risk infants, children and families.

What inspires you about your career?

Having spent much of my career leading construction teams, I am inspired by the opportunity to bring engineering and construction professionals together to solve complex challenges for clients. I'm passionate about helping teams collaborate from planning through execution to deliver projects that meet cost, schedule, quality and safety goals. Helping teams succeed, developing future leaders and delivering work that makes a lasting impact continues to motivate me.

How do you and your team make the world a better place?

We help deliver the infrastructure that communities and industries depend on every day. Whether supporting energy, manufacturing, aviation, water or other critical facilities, our work helps clients build for the future and improve the quality of life in the communities they serve.

Safety is at the center of that work. I'm passionate about creating jobsite environments where everyone can perform their best and return home safely to their families every day.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, exploring history, golfing and fishing with my wife, Karrie, and our two sons. My family also enjoys spending time near the water, especially on the beaches of West Galveston Island and at East Texas lakes.

Outside of family activities, I compete in triathlons and other multi-sport races, participate on a competitive barbecue team and spend time as a hobby tree farmer.
