What inspired you to pursue your career?
I grew up loving to build things and drawing, so architectural school was naturally appealing. While I enjoyed my five years in architecture, I knew I didn't want to be an architect when I graduated. But I loved the “building” aspect of the profession, and so I ended up in construction. The joy of seeing a building come to life in front of you and being a part of it is immensely satisfying.
What’s one way you help those around you thrive?
I’m very engaged in the industry and serve as a board member of the California Chamber of Commerce as an example. Being a professional woman and a mother, I’m passionate about helping support the next generation of women leaders as they navigate finding the balance and joy in their careers and homes.
How do you and your team make the world a better place?
Everything we do here truly improves the quality of life of others. While our teams deliver projects that strengthen communities and create lasting impact, my team’s role is to provide our employee-owners with the support, opportunities and sense of purpose they need to thrive.
Through our community impact efforts at the regional and national levels, we help strengthen the communities where we live and work. We also invest in the future of our firm through our internship and new graduate programs, helping develop the next generation of employee-owners who will continue to make a meaningful difference for our clients, communities and one another.
