WASHINGTON, D.C. — To support the firm’s growing federal market, Burns & McDonnell names Willie Clark as federal strategies director. In this role, Clark will seek to increase tracking of federal priorities and funding, as well as align Burns & McDonnell capabilities with strategic opportunities to serve various business lines and clients.
Clark transitions to this new position after nine years with Burns & McDonnell, where he most recently served as business development manager for the Federal Group. He brings this experience, coupled with over 35 years of industry experience, to the federal strategies director position.
“We’re thrilled to have Willie take on this new role as federal strategies director,” says David Barr, leader of the Federal Group and a vice president at Burns & McDonnell. “His wealth of experience in opportunity development, capture management and team growth in the federal market will take our federal services to a new level.”
Before joining the Burns & McDonnell team, Clark served as a general engineer and senior executive with the U.S. Department of Energy Bonneville Power Administration and the National Nuclear Security Administration.
“Our Federal Group is busier than ever and is shifting to meet today’s demands,” Clark says. “I’m looking forward to taking on this expanded role to provide strategic oversight of our service offerings and identify new opportunities for the firm to continue growing its federal portfolio to design and build some of our nation’s most critical infrastructure.”
