Burns & McDonnell Selects Vice President Dan Korinek as General Manager of Denver and Pacific Northwest Offices, Announces Additional Leadership Promotions

DENVER — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, announces its selection of vice president Dan Korinek as general manager for the firm’s offices in Denver, Colorado; Vancouver, Washington; and Portland, Oregon. The firm also promoted other employee-owners to lead regional practice groups.

Korinek leads a team of nearly 350 multidisciplinary professionals delivering critical infrastructure projects in the energy, water, power, environmental, manufacturing, mission-critical, food and consumer products, and construction industries, among others. Korinek is responsible for overall office operations, strategic planning, business development, career development and talent attraction.

Korinek joined the firm in 1988 and has spent his entire three-decade-plus career at Burns & McDonnell, holding several leadership positions. Most recently, as the manager of the company’s Water Group in Denver, he helped expand a practice that has built key water and wastewater facilities across the U.S.

In addition to Korinek’s new role, the firm announced promotions for leadership of its Global Facilities, Energy and Water groups in the region.

Jeff DeWitt

Jeff DeWitt leads the Global Facilities Group, supporting the engineering and construction of facility and campus power generation and utilities as well as manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and food and consumer product facilities for clients across the United States. He leads daily operations and business development to deliver these solutions. DeWitt has more than 20 years of experience leading teams for energy and facility projects.

Christopher Guggino

Chris Guggino oversees the Energy Group, delivering energy generation projects, which include solar, battery storage, hydrogen and traditional forms of generation. With more than a decade of experience executing engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects, Guggino is well-versed in delivering power generation projects from start to finish. 

Jason Schaefer, Burns & McDonnell

Jason Schaefer serves as the Water Group leader, supporting a diversified team delivering water and wastewater solutions for municipalities, utilities and industrial clients. He has nearly 15 years of experience, previously serving as the drinking water department manager.
