“We’re seeing a growing need for comprehensive design and construction services for facilities across sectors,” says Oko Buckle, Atlanta office general manager. “Nathan’s knowledge of facility function and design, mitigation strategies and project management make him a perfect fit to lead our team and meet that need.”

Newman has nearly 10 years of experience as a structural engineer and project manager. Prior to being promoted, he led multidisciplinary project teams and managed the design of more than $250 million in projects for the nation’s leading agricultural, manufacturing and aerospace businesses. He specializes in composites manufacturing, paint and advanced research facilities, as well as commercial greenhouses.

“I’m excited to leverage my experience to grow our team and expand our ability to offer full-service facility solutions across the Southeast,” says Newman. “Backed by more than 5,700 professionals, we have the experience to support projects with services ranging from front-end planning to site selection to design to construction to commissioning.”

Newman is a registered professional engineer and Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology. Newman is also the co-inventor of a replaceable ductile fuse (United States Patent 9157251) — a solution he helped create to solve a code mandated steel structural requirement.
