Gene Sieve Promoted to Vice President at Burns & McDonnell

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — Gene Sieve has been promoted to vice president of the Minneapolis-St. Paul office of Burns & McDonnell. The office he opened in 2007 now has nearly 90 employee-owners.

Sieve is a Minnesota native and joined Burns & McDonnell in 1991 after being recruited out of college. He left the firm in 1998 but returned in 2007 to establish the Minneapolis-St. Paul office.
He is responsible for business development, operations, project management, public relations, resource management and office financial management.

“One of the best parts of my work with Burns & McDonnell is the excitement of helping the company develop a new regional presence,” Sieve says. “As I help our project teams deliver timely, cost-effective solutions to our wide array of clients, I regularly draw on my own experience with design and construction projects for aviation, military, educational, industrial, commercial and institutional clients.”

Greg Graves, CEO of Burns & McDonnell, praises Sieve for his leadership.

Sieve received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1990 from South Dakota State University.

He recently completed a term as president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota. He has been active with the organization since 1999. Sieve was a 2015 Campaign Cabinet Member for the 2015 Greater Twin Cities United Way. He also serves on the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council at South Dakota State.
