DENVER, Colorado — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting firm, has named Jon Dunham as mining sector lead for its Environmental Services Group.

In this role, Dunham will help grow the firm’s environmental services offerings for mining clients while supporting integrated project delivery across the full mine life cycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, he will help clients navigate complex environmental challenges, streamline permitting and compliance, and advance sustainable project development. Burns & McDonnell provides comprehensive mining solutions, including environmental services, design-build delivery for mining projects, water management, infrastructure development and mine closure support.
Dunham brings more than 25 years of mining industry experience, having partnered with some of the world’s leading mining companies. His experience spans mine reclamation, mine water management and treatment, environmental permitting and compliance, infrastructure development, and large-scale EPC project delivery. Throughout his career, he has helped clients balance environmental stewardship with operational and business objectives, delivering practical solutions for complex mining projects.
