ATLANTA (Aug. 8, 2017) — With more than 20 years of environmental management and regulatory compliance experience, Tara McCullen joins Burns & McDonnell to lead its regional Environmental Services team in Atlanta. McCullen joins the firm’s growing workforce of more than 450 environmental professionals focused on providing integrated services — from planning and permitting to remediation, demolition and decommissioning — for clients across the U.S.

McCullen has worked with manufacturing, industrial, commercial, federal, state and municipal clients around the world to implement environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance solutions. She is renowned for her experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, key standards for EHS management systems. She’s received multiple awards for her work, including an ACEC Georgia Engineering Excellence Honor Award and three Champion of Excellence Awards from the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP).

In addition to her strong technical background, McCullen has extensive operational, project management, and business development experience. Throughout her career she’s supported and managed more than 100 EHS compliance, sustainability and remediation projects.

McCullen holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental health science from the University of Georgia. She is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and active member of the Air & Waste Management Association, Georgia Brownfields Association and AHMP. She serves on the steering committee for the Georgia Environmental Conference, an annual event dedicated to providing the latest educational content to current and future environmental professionals, as well as making a positive impact on the environment of Georgia and the Southeast.
