Austin, Texas

Where Deep History Meets Next-Generation Solutions

Our history in Central Texas runs deep, spanning over a century of contributions to the region's development. It all began with our founder, Clinton S. Burns, who lent support to the City of Austin in studying its water system needs in the 1920s. Since then, our work has included design of the Austin Seaholm Power Plant in 1948 to the recent enhancement of the Austin-San Antonio stretch of Interstate 35.

Long-standing municipal, manufacturing, utility and industrial clients know our work in the electrical transmission and distribution, transportation, water and aviation markets, as well as our OnSite Energy & Power initiatives.

As the region grows, our integrated design-build team works alongside industry leaders to move projects from visioning through commissioning. Whether constructing mission-critical and high-tech manufacturing facilities or developing progressive resource recovery and utility planning strategies, our teams bring a steadfast commitment to safety and high-quality, cost-effective design and construction. We work with our offices nationwide and 1898 & Co., our business, technology and security consulting arm, to provide solutions to today's critical infrastructure challenges.

Our Austin office takes our corporate commitments to sustainability and social responsibility to heart, developing local angles on many companywide initiatives.
