ATLANTA, Georgia — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, announced Dotun Famakinwa as the new operations director for the Southeast Region. The firm’s presence is growing in the region and the expansion will facilitate innovative and cost-effective architecture, engineering and construction solutions for clients. Famakinwa, who has been with the firm for over 15 years and was named vice president in 2022, will now oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple offices in the region.

During his tenure, Famakinwa has significantly impacted the electrical transmission and distribution sector, in the Southeast and beyond. His contributions have played a crucial part in strengthening the capabilities of and presence of Burns & McDonnell.

In his new capacity, Famakinwa will manage the firm’s financial, administrative and operational activities in the region. His responsibilities will also extend to enhancing the growth and strategic alignment of the firm's various office locations, seeing that they efficiently serve and collaborate with clients.
