DENVER — Jason Mayyak has been promoted to general manager for the Mountain Region at Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned environmental, engineering and construction firm, effective in January 2026.

In his new role, Mayyak will lead a workforce of more than 500 employee-owners based in Denver, Colorado, and Vancouver, Washington. The team delivers engineering, procurement, construction, environmental and consulting services to clients across the region, supporting critical infrastructure projects in energy, water, power, environmental, industrial, manufacturing and other sectors. He succeeds Dan Korinek, who retired at the beginning of 2026 after 37 years with the firm.

Mayyak previously served as vice president and operations director for the Mountain Region. Before that, he was a regional manager in the Transmission & Distribution Group, leading major power infrastructure projects. Under his leadership, the team more than tripled in size, and he played a key role in advancing new project delivery methods, including engineer-procure-construct (EPC), to provide greater value for clients.

Mayyak holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
