Burns & McDonnell Celebrates New Office in Richland, Washington

RICHLAND, Washington — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, construction and architecture firm, celebrated the opening of a new office in Richland, Washington, on Thursday, May 30. This expansion strengthens the firm’s presence in the Pacific Northwest.

“We are honored and proud to be a part of the Tri-Cities, supporting regional clients in building the critical infrastructure necessary for a safe, vibrant and sustainable future,” says Greg Smith, PE, project manager and leader of the Richland office. “We look forward to building a strong team with robust talent and capabilities to continue to deliver solutions for some of our nation’s most critical needs.”

Key community leaders, including U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse and Richland Mayor Theresa Richardson, joined Burns & McDonnell leadership at a ribbon-cutting and open house to celebrate the firm’s new 2,000-square-foot office space at 1060 Jadwin Ave.

“I am thrilled about the opening of Burns & McDonnell’s new office in Richland, Washington,” said Rep. Newhouse.

Newhouse continues, “Their innovative business model will add new jobs to our communities, and bring about exciting advancements in the energy sector. Burns & McDonnell plays a critical role in the important work being done at Hanford and PNNL, and projects like these are sure to bring new opportunities to the Tri-Cities.”

This strategic expansion bolsters the firm’s commitment to the Department of Energy and its Office of Environmental Management mission. Burns & McDonnell is poised to support new and ongoing projects at the Hanford Site, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and other national laboratories nationwide.
