KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, has promoted Chris Martin and Scott Chewning to new regional leadership roles in its Transportation Group, strengthening the firm’s ability to serve clients in two of the nation’s most dynamic transportation markets.

Martin will lead the Transportation Group in the Florida region, building on strong momentum across Florida and the Southeast. Having spent his entire career in Florida, Martin brings experience spanning design, utilities and construction, along with deep relationships with the Florida Department of Transportation, local governments and industry partners.

“Florida continues to be one of the strongest transportation markets in the country, and I’m excited to build on the great work already underway,” Martin says. “Our success here is driven by strong client relationships and collaboration across multiple practices, and I look forward to expanding our reach both within the region and beyond.”

Chewning will lead the Transportation Group in the Mid-Atlantic, where he will continue advancing the firm's business in ports and maritime while expanding transportation planning and design services across the region.
