“We are excited to have Steve lead our region’s Environmental Services Group,” says Karen Bray, senior vice president and general manager of the South Central Region at Burns & McDonnell. “Steve understands how early environmental planning and close coordination can help clients manage risk, maintain project schedules and move complex projects successfully into construction. His technical knowledge, collaborative leadership and commitment to our clients make him well-positioned to guide the continued growth of our environmental team.”

Haler is an environmental program manager with more than 20 years of experience leading major infrastructure projects throughout the United States and Canada. His experience spans transmission lines, substations, pipelines, power generation and industrial facilities. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary environmental programs, developed permitting and regulatory strategies, coordinated with federal, state and local agencies, and worked closely with project and construction teams to successfully navigate environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

“Our clients are advancing increasingly complex infrastructure projects while navigating evolving environmental requirements,” Haler says. “I look forward to working with our talented team to bring environmental considerations into projects early, develop practical permitting and compliance strategies, and help clients move their projects forward responsibly and predictably.”
