Dan Korinek

Vice President
Mountain Region Office Manager

You won't find a harder worker than Dan Korinek, serving both our clients and his team members. His character, integrity and values shine brightly in everything he does.

A native of Colorado, Dan joined Burns & McDonnell in 1988 and has spent his entire, more than three-decade, career working alongside fellow employee-owners to “Make Our Clients Successful.” He leads and manages a team of engineering and construction professionals providing services to a broad range of communities and industries served by our firm. As manager of the Mountain Region, which includes Denver and Vancouver, he is responsible for office operations, strategic planning, business development, career development, talent attraction and overall growth and branding within our regions. Dan previously led the Water Group for the region, helping build the team responsible for some of most critical water and wastewater installations along the front range of Colorado and throughout Wyoming. He learned teamwork early growing up in a competitive family — and has proved throughout his career what a game changer it can be.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

A distant part of my family (going way back) has an interesting history in Colorado, but you have to ask me to find out.

What inspired you to pursue your career?

Engineering is a career that has a direct impact on all our lives on a daily basis. There are few careers that touch the lives of so many people in this way. I am extremely proud that our Denver office represents so many of our business division offerings because of this impact.

What’s the coolest part of your job?

Working with such a great group of employee owners on so many diverse projects and seeing them built. As I get to the latter part of my career, I have really enjoyed seeing new employee-owners come in, make such an immediate impact and then grow in their careers.
