What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I've been an amateur race car driver for more than 25 years. My first race was while my wife was pregnant with our first child. It allows me to exercise my mechanical engineering skills and my need for speed.

What inspired you to pursue your career?

While in high school, I had summer jobs where I worked under two different engineers. I admired their intelligence and aspired to be like them. My father, although not a degreed engineer, was able to fix anything, which was also an inspiration to go into engineering.

What’s the coolest part of your job?

Hiring amazing people and letting them develop into amazing skilled professionals and tremendous business leaders. It's so much fun to see people develop in their careers and to get the autonomy to be great. When I joined the company in 2010, my overall goal was to create a great place for people to work in the region — and I'm proud to say we've been able to do that, and we continue to do that.
