Bridges are gateways to commerce and opportunity, connecting individuals and bringing communities large and small together. We’ve helped build these links for more than a century. We provide engineering, design and construction management services for new bridges and bridge replacement projects nationwide.
Our bridge engineers design to the selected criteria utilizing AASHTO Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) or other applicable AASHTO methods. Our geotechnical and hydraulics teams see that your project rests on a solid foundation.
Beyond Bridge Functionality
Our team has the necessary in-house experience to help meet your project’s state and federal requirements; prioritize safety and efficiency; and reflect the culture of your community. We have specialists in environmental permitting, planning, comprehensive design, right-of-way acquisition, risk assessment, construction, construction management, safety and public engagement.
Aesthetics, often critical to successful bridge design, allow a structure to fit with its surrounding environment. When a project calls for it, our bridge designs incorporate historic, ornate or modern elements while remaining within the scope.
Wide-Ranging Experience With Bridge Projects
We have designed, constructed and updated bridge structures of all types, from short-span highway overpasses to long-span major river crossings for highway, railway and pedestrian facilities. Complex fixed and movable bridge projects can be delivered using conventional or accelerated construction techniques through a variety of design-bid-build, design-build or progressive design-build contracting methods.
Our team also understands the role and importance of the components that are necessary around bridge sites, including culverts, retaining walls and sound walls, as well as the temporary structures needed to handle traffic during demolition or construction. We complete traffic studies, hydraulic studies, seismic analyses and vessel collision studies.

Arkansas is wrapping up an ambitious 10-year transportation improvement program with its first major design-build project. The 30 Crossing project is focused on managing congestion, improving access to the vibrant downtowns of Little Rock and North Little Rock, and reducing the division of both downtowns by Interstate 30.
