Integrated Comprehensive Modeling

Modeling techniques assist water, wastewater and stormwater system operators in evaluating the hydraulic, financial and capital management processes that support daily decisions and long-term planning. We work with you to determine what data you need to gather, what tools will help analyze that data and how to implement changes to your operation that will achieve your operational goals. Our services don’t end when the project is done. We provide documentation that extends beyond construction and into operations, and we can maintain models and provide training and on-call services.

Our partnership with you can develop master plans, GIS-based models, hydraulic designs, financial plans, revenue forecasts, capital spending prioritization and more.

2D Modeling to Simulate Stormwater Movement

Advanced mapping software incorporates GIS data to simulate stormwater flow during a major rainfall. These systems use detailed lidar data to cost-effectively represent the ground surface throughout the watershed. The increased detail and accuracy of the ground surface model allows for more accurate surface flooding simulations, supporting greater protection of homes and businesses and addressing safety concerns.

We have experience evaluating watersheds for hydrologic and hydraulic patterns, supporting the integration of flood mitigation improvements in municipal stormwater systems. By developing detailed and dynamic models of a watershed, we are often able to recommend design solutions that will reduce overall costs while improving overall system performance and public safety.
