Ice and snow accumulation on aircraft surfaces can affect lift of wing surfaces and inhibit free operation of aircraft and moving engine parts. Prevention and removal of such hazards cannot be left to chance.
We design and construct these critical systems, ranging from large central deicing structures to storage and dispensing systems that accommodate small-scale, on-gate deicing operations.
The process includes subjecting aircraft to deicing and/or anti-icing procedures, primarily applying glycol prior to takeoff. Because deicing operations can lead to environmental issues in adjacent waterways, considerations for collection, recovery/recycling/reuse and proper disposal of the byproducts are key components of our designs.
Efficient deicing processes are key in maintaining timely airport operations in freezing conditions. Our experience includes design and construction of effective receipt, storage and distribution systems, deicing pads, and reclamation and treatment options that keep you in compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The collection, recycling and proper disposal of deicing byproducts is one of your greatest concerns. Our industrial experience in wastewater collection and management allows us to apply a comprehensive approach to our detailed design of pump, piping and storage systems for glycol reclamation and treatment.
